Full House

Kids love me. "Hey camera man, yeah you hippy. I'm watching you..."

I photographed an open house for a new client Thursday night: Surratt Law Practice on Lakeside. They wanted me to document the evening for their website and social networks. They had a nice showing, lots of kids and what looked like good spread. Rare to form, I did not indulge...spare one Swedish white brownie that Kim made. Goodness.

Assignments like this are surprisingly challenging: you have key players you need to photograph but you also want to give context to the new space. Ultimately though, like any photography, it's about moments.

Here are a few I was happy with:

Kim Surratt.

Legit spread, right? Also, some of Kim and Rayna's Nevada photos.

The office has a kids room with a chalk board wall and games—great idea, great space.

Word.

From left, attorneys Melissa Exline, Kim Surratt and Rayna Brachman.
