Reno 11, Iowa 5...11:35. Sigh.

Starting pitcher Barry Enright.

Once a year, the Reno Aces play baseball at the odd hour of 11:35 a.m. Now by normal, workaday standards, that's not early. But by baseball standards, good God.

It was "kid's day" so lots of students from local schools were in attendance (sweet field trip, right?), there was a scholarship presentation on the field as wells as a book drive sponsored by Microsoft's Bing.

The presence of small ones does in some part justify the early arrival but it doesn't make up for the stale waffles in the press box. Thankfully the Aces played a quick one—about three hours—and beat the Iowa Cubs, 11-5. Third baseman Sean Burroughs went 5-5 with three doubles and a triple.
