Before the game I photographed our AAA All-Stars. From left, Collin Cowgill, Cody Ransom, Tony Abreu, Konrad Schmidt. |
I haven't blogged about baseball in July. Not once. That doesn't mean however I haven't photographed games. In fact, I'll be back at the ballpark tomorrow maybe Saturday. Sunday for sure: it's a 6:05 p.m. and you can't beat that light.
The season is winding down and the Reno Aces, although reeling a bit recently, are in first place with their eye on the post season. With that in mind, I thought it important to play catch up. So today I'm posting a seven-part series. Not intentionally mind you, but because I'm seven games behind and I promised to post photos from every one I shoot.
The first installment of "Catching up with @Aceball" is from Thursday, June 30. If you're keeping score at home, that was 36 days ago. But hey, what's a personal blog if not timely and relevant1.
If you don't remember 36 days ago, the Aces beat the Salt Lake City Bees, 9-6. My memory is a little hazy but I'm pretty sure somebody pitched and some other guys got some hits. Here are some pictures:
|
Brandon Allen. He's not even an Ace anymore. I told you, it's been a while. |
|
Chad Belding, host of "The Fowl Life" throws out the first pitch. |
|
Abreu. |
|
Cowgill; also not with the Aces anymore. |

More Cowgill. |

Closer Brian Shaw. |
