Reno Aces 6, Memphis Redbirds 4

Archie surprised Tina between innings with a hug. She's leaving in less than a week. We'll miss her.

Friday night was military night at the ballpark. The Reno Aces wore camouflage hats and honored some local soldiers on the field before the game.

It's also the last home stand for one of our awesome emcees Tina—who, along with partner Austin—has been entertaining the crowd since game one, 2009.

And it was my first chance to photograph some of the new guys like Angel Berroa and Ryan Langerhans. Tonight I'll be back at the park to get some shots of starting pitcher Wade Miley. It's a 6:05 first pitch which means, for the first time in more than a month, there will be light on the mound to start the game. I'm giddy. And I'm looking forward to seeing Miley in person. He is averaging a strikeout per inning and can run his fastball into the mid 90s.

Here are a few frames from Friday night's game against the Memphis Redbirds. The Aces won, 6-4.
