#freethebatboy

Man, myth, legend.

Back to back day games don't happen often but Monday was a travel day and it seemed like both clubs were ready for the road.

The game lasted 3 hours and 28 minutes not bad considering there was a combine 23 runs and 30 hits. Reno won 13-10.

Despite the offensive explosion, the story of the day wasn't really the ballgame.

In what I believe was the sixth inning, the comedy gods blessed Aces Ballpak. For three innings all eyes—and most of the press box tweets (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)—focused on freeing the bat boy locked in the dugout bathroom. I of course documented the rescue efforts.

What do you mean you can't open the door?

Even Bugsy laughed.

Freedom.

But of course there was a baseball game and I did take some pictures of it. I spent a lot of time focusing on Mike Jacobs who made his Aces debut Monday after serving a 50 game suspension for PEDs. I've always like Jacobs game and am excited to watch him hit in Reno.

Jacobs.

Jake Elmore.

Cole Gillespie.

Evan Frey.

Sam Demel.

Aces win. Bat boy lives.
