A couple of weeks ago I received an assignment from Reno Magazine to photograph a cattle ranch in Fallon, Nev..
It's owned and operated by the Albaugh family. I spent the afternoon with Norris—one of the most genuine subjects I've ever photographed—and two of his three children: Waldo and Wilhelmina.
It was a perfect evening with good weather, great light and better company. After photographing the ranch, Norris and his wife Suzie invited me into their home for some cookies. I hope the photos speak to the beauty of the country and the quality of the people.
