3 a.m..
That's what time I wake up to photograph Dawn Patrol. I've been doing it for seven years and it's always damn early.
Working again with Wells Fargo Nevada, I photographed their volunteers and riders at the 31st annual Great Reno Balloon Races at Rancho San Rafael Park. This year however, I was only there for the weekend. And unfortunately—as many of my fellow early risers slash late-to-bedders know—the aeronauts didn't fly Sunday so there are a few less photos here than last year.
Regardless, it was good to see familiar faces and old friends. And even though there was less to shoot, I made some frames I really like. Especially the moon shot.
