Happy Birthday Lacy J.

Saturday night I photographed Reno's annual Black & White Ball at the Silver Legacy. The event is a fundraiser for local HIV/AIDS prevention in Northern Nevada. Although I shot mostly grip and grins ^(1, 2), I made some photos of country singer and Virginia City resident Lacy Dalton I wanted to share. Dalton was the evening's headliner. She performed a nice set of classics like "16th Avenue" and "Tennessee Waltz" and still has a hell of a great voice.

It was her birthday (not sure which one) and the organizers surprised her with a cake and some candles. It took a few tries to blow them out ^{(1, 2, 3)}. Good fun.
