The (sometimes) annual Mavericks surfing contest went off last weekend in my part-time, hometown: Half Moon Bay. I photographed the 2008 competition for ISI Photos. This morning I spent some time clicking through my archive and found one from then I wanted to share. It's of spectators watching the surf from the the Princeton-by-the-sea breakwater.
Santa Cruz's Peter Mel won the this year's competition.
