The Major League Baseball Players Association named Tony Clark its executive director earlier this week. Clark is a 15-year major league veteran and the first ex-big leaguer to be named executive director of the union.
I wanted to share the above photo of Clark. It's from 2006, his second season with the Arizona Diamondbacks. I was a Pulliam Fellow at the Arizona Republic covering Diamonbacks games for the paper. In addition to photographing him in Phoenix, Clark spent some time in Reno in 2009 rehabilitating his wrist.
