I shot a couple of stories for the Nov-Dec. issue of Reno Magazine—available at the usual places right now. I just got mine in the mail in fact.
Anyway, last week I shared some images I shot for "Cheryl Chenault's Home Design for the Holiday House Guest" column and wanted to follow up today with a detail shot I liked from the publications "Short Hits" section. I photographed a local jeweler, Barbara Uriu at her home in Verdi. Uriu is a member of "Wild Women" a Northern Nevada/California artists group that has a holiday show coming.
I shot a few environmental portraits, product shots(1, 2, 3) and candids but liked the above detail of her raw materials most. All of the gems, stones and precious metals are from the Great Basin.
