Two-sixer.

I miss those April 6:05 p.m. starts. But hey, five minutes of light is better than no light.
I turned 26 on Friday. I made the game notes

I'm not a big birthday guy—there's only about five or six worth celebrating—and 26 isn't one of them.

So instead of throwing a party, I spent the day at the ballpark: 15 hours of old-fashioned work. It was perfect. I love me the martyr.

The day started with a youth baseball camp (hitting coach Rick Burleson is great with the little guys). And featured a hell of a lot more. Pre-game, there was a (week after) father's day catch on the field, a pregnant lady flash mob, a rather manly race featuring the finest in feminine footwear and baseball buddies (I didn't take any pictures worth sharing). It ended with Friday night fireworks presented by St. Mary's and kids run the bases (no pictures) sponsored by I believe, "The Ace of Braces," Dr. David Welmerink.

Reno beat the Las Vegas 51s 16-8, scoring five runs in the first inning off Vegas starter Kyle Drabek, four in the second, four in the fifth and three in the seventh. Shortstop Cody Ransom led the Aces with six runs batted in and was a single short of the cycle.

Kind of a heavy edit this time around because well, I was at the park for FIFTEEN hours. But hey, I hope you enjoy some of them. My birthday present to you.

Also, thank you mom and dad for well, making me.
